Melchior Elected to WZO Executive

August 3, 2009 By eJP

At a meeting today of the World Zionist executive, Rabbi Michael Melchior was approved as a new member of the executive representing the Kadima/Mercaz/Hanoar Hatzioni/Gil faction. Melchior fills the seat vacated by former Jewish Agency and World Zionist Organization chairman Zeev Bielski who resigned earlier this year upon his election to the Israeli Knesset.

This paves the way for Melchior’s selection as WZO chair.
