Live, Study and Volunteer in Tel Aviv-Jaffa

Registration for Spring 2011 Tikkun Olam in Tel Aviv-Jaffa 5-month program is now open.

For 5 months you’ll make your home in the close-knit neighborhood of Kiryat Shalom and volunteer amongst the many groups of people who live there and in the surrounding neighborhoods, such as new Israeli immigrants; refugees from Darfur, Eritrea and elsewhere; foreign workers and more. You’ll study at Bina’s Secular Yeshiva alongside Israeli peers who are also living and volunteering in South Tel Aviv.

Study topics include Jewish identity, social action, Israeli society and culture along with current issues facing the populations in South Tel Aviv. These classes and discussions are intended to stimulate critical thinking while exploring topics with an open-minded and impartial mindset in a creative pluralistic environment.

The Union for Reform Judaism (URJ) is a program partner.
