The Jewish Venture Philanthropy Fund-Los Angeles (JVPF), in collaboration with The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, is pleased to announce our 2010 Request for Proposals. Thanks to our investors, partners and a network of creative supporters from across the Jewish world, our Fund is growing and has reached $1.5 million in cumulative grants since its inception. We expect to make grants during the 2010 cycle totaling approximately $250,000.
Submissions are due by February 15, 2010 and should be submitted electronically to JVPF@JewishLA.org. Detailed information can be found on the JVPF Website.

Does the Jewish Venture Philanthropy Fund intend to release a request for proposals in 2011? We would greatly appreciate an opportunity to submit a grant proposal for your consideration.
Big Sunday was founded in 1999 as Temple Israel of Hollywood’s Mitzvah Day and has grown over the years to become Big Sunday Weekend, and since 2008, into a nonprofit organization that offers community service projects throughout the year to help our nonprofit partners achieve their missions.
Big Sunday Weekend – our signature program – now draws more than 50,000 volunteers annually over one weekend in May (May 14 and 15 in 2011) to provide community service and community building projects in support of hundreds of schools, nonprofits and social service agencies throughout Southern California – from Santa Barbara to San Diego.
