Israel’s NGOs Unhappy With Aid Package

According to The Jerusalem Post,

“The government has announced a NIS 6 million aid package aimed at assisting hundreds of local charities and grassroots organizations facing closure due to the world economic crisis…The plan includes efforts to address the possible layoff of thousands of non-profit sector employees, the reduction of certain taxes these organizations pay, and a new body to assist struggling NOG’s.

“The proposal is much less than we expected and…what is needed,” said Eran Klein, a project manager at Shatil, who was among the NGO representatives.”
