Israel’s Next Generation Innovators Gather at Magid Conference

Fifty young Israeli leaders gathered last week outside of Jerusalem to participate in The Magid Project, a pilot program under the direction of ROI Community. Created to bring together the next generation of young professional leaders to meet, connect and build a personal and collective Jewish narrative, the two-and-a-half day, invitation-only gathering, included invitees from across the professional, religious and political spectrum.

The Magid Project is part of ROI Connection Points, which was created to expand the organization’s reach and provide greater opportunity for more entrepreneurs to connect, learn about creative new ideas, deepen relationships and recognize the change initiatives.

Speaking to eJP following the program, participant Ari Eitan, Chairman of The Ilan Institute, said: “I’m leaving this conference and returning to my work with an amazing feeling, and with the new and surprising tools that I have gained. Meeting with so many fascinating young people, who share the same desire to change the world by putting focus on Jewish values and a Jewish collective identity, fills me with great optimism and hope.” (The Ilan Institute aims to promote employment and learning among young adults in Israel’s Ultra-Orthodox community.)
