Israel at 62: If You Will It, It Is Not a Dream

Here in Israel, Yom HaAtzmaut, Independence Day, celebrations will kick off shortly with the lighting of beacons at the official ceremony at Mount Herzl national cemetery in Jerusalem. The ceremony will also mark the conclusion of Yom HaZikaron, Memorial Day.

The theme of this, Israel’s 62nd Independence day, is Herzl’s adage “If you will it, it is not a dream.”
