IRS Reduces International Giving Regulations

For the first time in 20 years, significant changes to reduce barriers to global grantmaking have been proposed by the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Internal Revenue Service. Instead of grantmakers jumping through multiple hoops to prove an NGO’s status, often requiring costly legal assistance, new recommendations and upcoming repositories of NGO information will lighten the administrative and financial burden for foundations that want to give internationally.
