Statistics from charity Direct Debit specialists, Rapidata have shown that in both June and July of this year cancellation rates jumped to 3.9% – up from 3.2% in 2010. May 2011 saw an even bigger jump from 2.8% in 2010 to 4.1%, reflecting the same behaviour as that experienced during the 2008/09 recession.
