Limmud confirms that Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis is to join nearly 2,500 participants from around the world at Limmud Conference 2013, taking place between 22-26 December at the University of Warwick in Coventry.

“We are delighted Chief Rabbi Mirvis has chosen to join us at Limmud Conference as a presenter and a participant,” said Limmud Conference Co-Chair Oliver Marcus. “We welcome participants to learn and teach in a grassroots, volunteer-led, cross-communal, multi-generational gathering, to study the past, revel in the present and set course for the future.”

Oliver and Co-Chair Richard Verber are leading a team of over 40 core volunteers to produce the weeklong programme, featuring 350 presenters and 1,000 sessions.

“We believe that Limmud is the greatest opportunity in world Jewry, enabling each person to take one step further on their own Jewish journey.” said Limmud Chair and Senior Trustee Kevin Sefton. “Limmud in Hebrew means learning – one of Chief Rabbi Mirvis’ passions as both a teacher and as a student. Because of this we are sure that he will find Limmud Conference a very rewarding experience.”
