Hadassah’s Merkaz Hamagshimim for Sale

n1037259412_3118Merkaz Hamagshimim – a year-round English speaking community, educational center and a home to many Anglos who have chosen to live in Israel has been put up for sale by Hadassah. Opened in 1996, the beautiful campus in Jerusalem’s German Colony should certainly bring Hadassah needed cash – it’s just a shame (here to) we’re in a down market.

Last month Young Judaea’s Director, Rabbi Ramie Arian, wrote “The Israel-based ongoing program of YJ Impact—Merkaz Hamagshimim—will operate with significant program reductions” –  this must be what Hadassah had in mind.

We understand Young Judaea is not planing to close the program and is in negotiation to rent the recently vacated Ulpan Etzion campus in Jerusalem’s Baka neighborhood.
