As a follow-up to our previous story concerning allegations of mishandling funds by Hadassah personnel, the statement below has been released by the organization:

Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America, is pleased to receive from the independent committee of the Board of Directors of Hadassah, the results of its review of the allegations by Larry Blum, Hadassah’s Chief Operating Officer, who is on a leave of absence.

Dan Kurtz, of the law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP., who conducted the investigation on behalf of the committee stated that “The committee’s investigation was in-depth and thorough. After performing an extensive investigation, the conclusion the committee reached regarding the Blum allegations was that none of them were supported by facts. No volunteers, including Marcie Natan and Nancy Falchuk, breached any fiduciary duties owed to Hadassah in connection with the allegations. Hadassah does not need to take further action with respect to the Blum allegations.”

The status of Blum, who was previously placed on administrative leave, is unchanged.
