Beit Hatfutsot – The Museum of the Jewish People, has launched a worldwide picture album of the Jewish people in costume to celebrate the joy of Purim.
- So how did our costumes look throughout the ages in different countries? How did Queen Esther look in the 1950’s? What about her style in the 21st century? What does the Chicago Batman have in common with the Tel Aviv Batman? Which creations were most popular in the 70’s; in London, Haifa, Rio de Janeiro, Montreal, and Kibbutz Tirat Zvi? Which tastes have changed with time and which have stayed the same?
