holocaust survivorThe Azrieli Foundation has partnered with the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany (Claims Conference) to provide supplemental funding to Holocaust Survivor programs in Canada. The Claims Conference established and has supported these programs for two decades.

For 2016, the Azrieli Foundation is providing a total of CAD $457,500 to four organizations to provide emergency financial assistance to help survivors in need pay for vital expenses that they cannot afford.

The organizations receiving this funding are the Cummings Centre for Seniors in Montreal, Jewish Family and Child Service of Greater Toronto, Jewish Family Services of Ottawa and Jewish Family Service Agency in Vancouver.

Azrieli’s funding will add to the CAD $23 million that the Claims Conference will distribute to 12 organizations throughout Canada, including the four, for a wide range of services that aid survivors.
