Right now the "Jewish Agency for ISRAEL" pretty much says it all regarding Israel as the goal/focus of JAFI. Regarding Jewish identity, that's a tough one to define, never mind solidify. The question of who is "in" and who is "out" is no longer a peripheral issue. I would prefer the discussion be at the level of community. Each local community has its strengths and weaknesses.
