Drop in olim from UK and USA.Why is the Israeli Government still pumping millions of shekels into Nefesh B’Nefesh which is responsible for Aliyah from UK and USA instead of the Jewish Agency??The Jewish Agency didn’t do worse and is at least transparent.Who will hold Nefesh B’Nefesh accountable? The Israeli Government should spend its money on alleviating poverty in Israel and not on Jews from USA who would make Aliyah anyway! The Jewish Agency has made the right decision to focus on Jewish Identity in the diaspora and deal with Aliyah from countries in distress.

Since this article only tells where 7 out of the 19 thousand Olim came from last year (the big news was the increase from France) here is the rest of the story i saw in an article from Ha aretz.com:

Immigration to Israel from Latin America grew by more than a third this year to total 924, the majority of these new arrivals coming from Argentina, Peru and Brazil. Immigration from Middle Eastern countries, most of them unidentified, rose by 4 percent to 245. By contrast, immigration from Eastern Europe dropped 8 percent to 270…”
